South West Rocks Dental has been that practice for families across the mid-north coast for over three decades. We see everyone from toddlers having their first dental visit through to grandparents looking after their teeth so they can keep eating the steaks and corn on the cob they love. And because we do everything under one roof, you don’t need to drive to three different places.

It comes down to two things: range and relationships. Kids need preventive care like fluoride treatments and fissure sealants. Teenagers might need orthodontic assessments. Mum or Dad might need a crown or some cosmetic work. Nan might be thinking about implants. And everyone deserves a team that actually takes the time to listen.
We provide general dentistry, cosmetic treatments, dental implants, orthodontics with braces and clear aligners, preventive care, and children’s dentistry. We bulk bill for eligible children aged 2 to 17 under the Child Dental Benefits Schedule, which means no out-of-pocket costs for covered services.

Early dental experiences really do shape how your child feels about the dentist for years to come. That’s something we take seriously. Our team takes time with young patients, explaining things in ways they understand and working at their pace. We’re not going to force anything, and we’re certainly not going to make it scary.
For the practical side, we offer check-ups, cleans, fillings, fluoride treatments, fissure sealants, and early orthodontic assessments. Picking up little things early often means simpler treatment later on.
The Adults Matter Too
While we love looking after kids, a family dental practice is absolutely about the adults as well. Whether you need a routine clean, a same-day crown with our CEREC technology, teeth whitening, dental implants, or help with dental anxiety, we can sort you out right here.
And when something goes wrong unexpectedly, we offer same-day emergency appointments. Cracked a tooth at the footy? Lost a filling on a camping trip? Give us a call and we’ll do everything we can to get you in quickly.
Getting Everyone There Without the Headache
One of the biggest challenges for families is juggling everyone’s schedules. Having a practice that handles everything under one roof helps. Need orthodontic assessments for the teenager and a check-up for the little one? We can do both in one trip. Dad needs an implant consultation while the kids get their cleans? No worries.
We’re on Landsborough Street in South West Rocks with free street parking right outside, so you’re not circling the block with kids in the back seat. We’re open Monday to Friday, with extended hours to 6pm on Monday and Tuesday to help fit around work and school.
Making It Work for the Budget
Dental care for a whole family adds up, we know. That’s why we offer capped pricing for new patient assessments at $199, interest-free payment plans through SmileRight and Humm, and we’re an HCF preferred provider. We process health fund rebates on the spot with HICAPS so you know your out-of-pocket costs straight away.
For eligible kids, the CDBS covers up to $1,095 over two calendar years for basic dental services. We bulk bill, which means no gap for covered treatments. That’s one less thing to worry about.
Technology That Helps the Whole Family
We’ve invested in tech that makes visits quicker and more comfortable for everyone. CEREC same-day crowns mean adults don’t need to come back for a second appointment. Our iTero 3D scanner takes digital impressions without the gooey moulds that nobody enjoys. And our CBCT 3D scanner gives us detailed imaging for more accurate treatment planning.
