At our SWR dental, we believe in staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental care. Dental technology is ever-evolving, and we are committed to staying ahead of the curve to provide our patients with the best possible care.
We are proud to offer cutting-edge intraoral scanners, which allow for precise and comfortable digital impressions. In addition, we provide a range of complex procedures, including dental implants, root canal therapy, and Orthodontic treatment.
We also have a Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) machine on-site, which allows us to capture 3D images of the mouth and jaw for more accurate treatment planning.
General Questions
How often should I visit the dentist for a checkup?
For most, It’s recommended that you visit us for a checkup and clean at least every six months. However, your dentist may recommend more frequent visits, and sometimes less frequent depending on your individual needs.
What can I expect during a dental checkup?
If this is your first visit to SWR Dental, we’ll offer a capped price comprehensive dental assessment – your dentist will examine your teeth, your gums, complete an oral cancer screen, take necessary xrays, intraoral scan and photos. This allows your dentist to share what they see and form a plan to care for your teeth long term together.
What if I find it hard to afford dental care?
We recognise for many, finances can be a barrier. We’re doing three things to help address this.
- We offer interest free payment plans – just ask us when you come in.
- We’re providing Capped Price Care – A fair maximum price for check ups.
- We accept NSW Health Vouchers, Health funds, Veterans Affairs and the Child Dental Benefits Scheme.
What can I do to prevent holes?
To prevent cavities (decay), it’s important to practice good oral hygiene habits such as brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and limiting sugary and acidic foods and drinks. Regular dental checkups and cleans can also help prevent cavities and the pain or problems that arise due to decay.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
If you have a dental emergency such as a broken tooth or severe toothache, it’s important to contact us as soon as possible. We pride ourselves in seeing patients same day with genuine emergencies as there is (almost) nothing worse then a toothache!
